Coppins on top of the podium in Hawkstone Park.

The 8th and final round of the British MX championship series has seen CAS Honda star, Josh Coppins, dominate both moto’s to take victory at the former GP circuit of Hawkstone Park in Shropshire.

Coppins qualified in pole position and went on to win both races by a huge margin. Having missed three rounds earlier in the season due to a shoulder injury the hard working Kiwi has dominated every round he has ridden since his mid-season come back, making it 8 consecutive moto wins.

“I’m happy for Ken and the CAS Honda team. They have won another British title which makes it the team’s 7th consecutive British title - what an awesome record to hold. I was just unfortunate with my shoulder injury at the start of the year. I thought the track could have been better prepared today – it was quite dry and dusty and much faster than the previous times I have ridden here,” mentioned Coppins.

‘Lizzard’ now heads for France and the final round of the FIM MX World championship in Ernee next weekend.
