THOR welcomes Josh Coppins to the Team

Motocross Grand Prix star, Josh Coppins, and THOR, the world’s leading brand in motocross apparel have recently inked a two-year deal. The hard working New Zealander has confirmed that he will race with the Factory Yamaha Rinaldi Team in 07-08, which together with THOR will see the Kiwi as top favorite for the MX1 title.

CEO and THOR co-founder, Bob Maynard, was extremely excited about the agreement: “It's been a long time since THOR has sponsored a World MX1 champion, but that is about to change. Now it's time to "give it a go" in Europe in the premier MX1 class where there is no question that Josh Coppins will be the guy to beat. Josh has all the skills and work ethic to be the next champion and we are very proud to have him join the THOR team!" stated Bob Maynard.

Coppins was the only man to put a stop to Stefan Everts’s perfect season when he annihilated the MX1 field at the Irish GP earlier this month. The shoulder injury that put him out of the title contention this year is a thing of the past. “THOR is a dedicated company that puts a lot into motocross world wide. They are way ahead of the game with their awesome designs and THOR apparel offers great rider comfort without compromising optimal protection. I am pumped about the new THOR 07 line and am planning on bringing them another world championship to add to their long list of past successes,” said a confident Coppins.

THOR’s great history and long list of champions is testament to the companies core drive to produce the best motocross apparel on the market. "We have had tremendous winning success in America in bringing over the top GP riders, Greg Albertyn, Grant Langston, Sebastian Tortelli, Chad Reed, Michael Byrne and Ben Townley to name a few – not to forget Roger DeCoster who was probably the first rider to wear the clothing. We are hopeful that Josh's name will soon be added to this list of champions" stated Jeff Fox, President of Parts Unlimited.
