GP Lierop - Timed practice

Coppins conserves energy for GP.

The Lierop circuit has always been a true test of bike and rider. The typical rough and demanding circuit will put riders to the test and predicted temperature of 30°C will not make conditions any easier for the penultimate GP of the searies.. Josh Coppins had that in mind today during his qualification session.

“We made some changes to the bike in practice. Qualifying was good although I felt I could have gone faster. One part of the track was a little bit dangerous through the whoops because they had watered it and it was slippery. I didn’t want push too hard – I wanted to save energy for the race and sixth place is good enough for the start tomorrow. The track got rougher and I managed to go faster so that should be good for tomorrow,” said Coppins.
