GP of Desert Martin - Timed practice

Coppins clinches first pole

The final GP of the FIM MX world championship has seen CAS Honda man, Josh Coppins, claim his first pole position. The Kiwi set a blistering time and has first pick of the gate for tomorrow’s GP to be held at the Desert Martin circuit.

“ It was a really good day for me because we battled to find some good settings at the start of the day but it just got better and I got faster. We did some tyre changes and some gearing changes – the track was really difficult today because the times are really close which made everyone fast. My fitness is really good at the moment. I have taken some extra time to rest and I’m feeling fresh for this race so I need to get some good starts and push for the win to finish the season off on top.” explained Coppins.
